When ring shamers spotted a picture of a woman’s engagement sparkler, they didn’t hold back.
The chunky jewellery, which centred on an amethyst, was ridiculed by the Facebook users.
While some thought it looked like a boombox, others compared it to a “sad penis”.

Pictures of the sparkler were posted to the That’s It, I’m Ring Shaming Facebook group.
The uploader revealed that the jeweller created it by combining a ring with a pair of earrings.
But when before and after snaps were posted online, they didn’t receive a warm reception.
One commenter remarked: “Well that was a waste of a nice piece of amethyst and diamonds!”
Another said: “This is a travesty, those jewels need to be rehomed.”
Others couldn’t resist comparing the ring to objects and body parts.
A Facebook user joked: “Looks like a REALLY sad d**k.”
Another said: “I totally thought I was looking at a miniature boombox at first.”
A third added: “OK it looks like a car to me. Like the headlights are the earrings.”

Despite the backlash, not all of the comments were negative.
Some said they were fond of the unconventional design.
A responder admitted: “Wow I think I may no longer be welcome in this group… I actually like it.
“I know I shouldn’t but I do.”
Another agreed: “I don’t hate it!
“I like chunky rings over dainty.”
