DOZENS of passengers travelling with Ryanair have been left without their luggage or answers after a flight to Malaga.
The holidaymakers were travelling from London Stansted to the Spanish resort on December 27.
After what one passenger called "utter chaos" at Stansted, as many as 50 people arrived on flight FR8162 to discover that their checked luggage was missing.
Taking to Twitter to complain, student paramedic Lewis Clark claimed that he nearly missed his flight at Stansted due to the "stupidly big queues", despite arriving three hours before his flight.
And having paid £40 for his luggage to be checked, he was appalled to discover that his bags were missing after he landed.
He said: "We are now hearing reports that these 50+ people's bags never made it on our flight because of the utter chaos at Stansted!
"@Ryanair how about you get someone to at least talk to us and let us know what is happening! Or are you just happy that you have taken our money!!"
Later he added: "Got an email from @Ryanair Malaga airport saying the case was there, phoned the number provided in the email to be told that the case was definitely not in Malaga and must still be in Stansted.
"Still not heard anything from @Ryanair, they seem to be keeping very quiet!"
Lewis was not alone in his plight, as some passengers joined in on the social media site to say that they were "desperate" and have yet to receive any answers.
User Fatto Statto, a cabbie from London, wrote: "Ryan Air have managed to lose mine and lots of others on Flight FR8162 luggage.
"From leaving us to our own devices for over an hour, to the most unhelpful RA personnel at Malaga airport. We are still without our luggage and they have done nothing to rectify it!"
Another passenger who goes by @richrae14 on Twitter said: "Ryanair, are you sending the missing Malaga bags on this evening’s flight? We are now desperate. And you have told us nothing all day."
A spokesman for Ryanair told Sun Online Travel: "Due to a Stansted Airport baggage belt failure yesterday, a small number of bags were unable to be loaded on to this flight, and were delivered to customers today."
A London Stansted Airport spokesperson confirmed the incident.
They told Sun Online Travel: “We can confirm there were some temporary issues with the baggage sorting process yesterday, which resulted in some passengers’ bags not being loaded on to their flight.
"We worked closely with our airline and baggage handling partners to rectify the issue, and handling agents immediately began arranging for bags to be forwarded to passengers.

Earlier this year, Sun Online revealed that Ryanair passengers would not be covered if their valuables are lost, stolen or damaged while checked into the hold under new baggage rules.
It comes after the airline started restricting passengers to just one piece of hand luggage.
