Travelodge launches Christmas sale with thousands of rooms across the UK for £29

Travelodge has released 150,000 rooms for £29 or less over the 12 days of Christmas.

Families can check into any of the chain's 582 UK hotels and snap up the deal, which is running from December 25 until January 5.

The offer applies to rooms that can sleep up to four people, which works out at £7.25 each.

Staycations are set to be popular this Christmas, as travel restrictions tighten in the UK.

But that doesn't mean families can't soak up some festive spirit closer to home.

Travelodge has hotels in towns and cities with Christmas markets, ice skating rinks and winter wonderlands. .

You can check out Winter Wonderland in London's Hyde Park, then retire to a hotel which is just a nine minute drive away.

Or enjoy a day out at the Ice Festive in Liverpool, featuring an ice rink and ice slides, and then head back to your hotel room just a seven minute walk away.

More than 200 of Travelodge's hotels have an onsite bar and café, serving breakfast, dinner and a bar menu.

The unlimited breakfast costs £8.75, and for each paying adult, two children under the age of 16 can eat for free.

Travelodge isn't the only hotel chain with Christmas deals on offer.

Budget hotel chain Travelzoo is also offering festive breaks, with UK breaks from £69.

For those of you looking to have some Christmas fun at a theme park, Alton Towers has Christmas hotel breaks with Santa, theme park entry and light shows for £120pp.
