You can currently get Eurostar tickets to Paris for £29 but be quick

Eurostar is giving Brits the perfect opportunity to use up the last of that annual leave and bag a bargain city break in the process.

The high-speed rail service has launched a huge sale and you can currently bag fares from £29 each way to the likes of Paris, Brussels, Lille and Calais.

(If Paris is on the list, there are some great cheap hotels in the city to stretch that budget a little further).

The best part is that there's a generous travel window included, with deals valid on journeys between the 1st October 2019 through to the 17th January 2020.

Basically, ideal timing if you're thinking of an October half term break, or want to enjoy a pre-Christmas getway.

The deals are already available to book on the Eurostar website but you'll need to book by Monday 23rd September when the sale ends.

Thinking of a break in Amsterdam or Rotterdam? The two cities are also included in the sale, with prices from £35 each way currently up for grabs.

It's also an ideal opportunity to explore Rotterdam well ahead of the crowds who will be descending on the city when it hosts Eurovision in 2020 .

Want to treat yourself?

You can upgrade to Eurostar's Standard Premier carriages for an extra £70 which come with extra perks such as more leg room and a light meal/refreshments served directly to your seat.

Oh, and if you are hoping to do a spot of sightseeing at some of the cities' top museums but don't want to blow all of your holiday budget, then make sure you take your Eurostar ticket with you to the entrance.

That's because you can bag 2-for-1 entry at a host of museums and galleries in the likes of Paris or Brussels, simply by showing your Eurostar ticket at the gate. You can find out more here .
